How to become a Member
Membership is open to anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts by faith, followed by a solid discipleship program before and after their Baptism. This program helps the member to understand the basics of Christianity, along with basic Baptist beliefs and practice. We also admit people into membership who transfer from another church, or by experience where a membership transcript from another church cannot be achieved for one reason or another. Each member has a full voice in the direction of our church. Members are encouraged to be a part of our ministry of giving, to be actively involved in our greater community, our church community, and most importantly to pray for the ongoing work and needs of our church.
Our Ministry of Giving
We strongly believe in the ministry of giving. This involves making a commitment to God to tithe a percentage of one’s earnings to the Lord. These givings’ help in the ongoing work of our church and its ministries here and abroad. The finances of our church are under the care and guidance of our Stewardship Working Group, who set the church’s budget and monitor the church’s spending.
Our Worship Services
Our Worship Services at Regal Road are at 10am on Sunday. You will find that we embrace an Ancient/Future Worship style. This style connects the very best of the old Classical hymns from with the very best of today’s new Praise and Worship songs. We believe in as much Congregational interaction as possible. This interaction may involve a responsive reading, or even a reading of one of the great creeds of the church, like the Nicene or Apostles Creed. At Regal Road we celebrate two church ordinances; The Lord’s Supper, and Baptism. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion, the Eucharist) the first of every month. This is open to anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. It is our belief that the Lord’s Supper is a time to remember, reconnect and recommit to Christ. It is also a time to experience the healing work of Christ in one’s life. We practice Believers Baptism the ancient practice of the first century church. The mode of Baptism that we practice is Immersion, although we make exceptions with Baptism by Effusion, for those who are either sick or afraid of the water..
